  • WVU neuroscientist awarded for research in human-machine teaming

    Victor Finomore, Ph.D., director of Human Performance and Applied Neuroscience at the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and his previous team at the U.S. Air Force Academy received the 2018 Parasuraman Award for Scientific Impact at the second International Neuroergonomics Conference at Drexel University in June for their preliminary work on human-machine teaming and trust in automation.

  • Art in the Libraries series to debut in August

    Art in the Libraries is an art exhibition program presenting exhibits in the WVU campus libraries. Opening August 1, at the Health Sciences Library, an exhibit of photographs by Rebecca Kiger that are a part of the A Knowing Intimacy exhibit will be on display.

  • West Virginia University selected as first site to launch an innovative clinical trial for Alzheimer’s

    West Virginia University (WVU) has been selected as the first site for an innovative clinical trial to treat Alzheimer’s disease. Ali Rezai, M.D., director of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, will lead the initiative in collaboration with INSIGHTEC, an Israel-based medical technology company who received approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to begin the clinical trial using focused ultrasound to treat Alzheimer’s.
