WVU Division of Physical Therapy achieves candidacy for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Residency, accepts first resident

The West Virginia University School of Medicine Physical Therapy program has been granted candidacy status for its Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Residency by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education. It is the first program of its kind in West Virginia and one of only 14 similar programs in the nation. -

Representatives from the Knights Templar Eye Foundation (KTEF) recently visited the West Virginia University Health Sciences Campus to formally present researcher Souradip Chatterjee, Ph.D. with a KTEF Career-Starter Research Grant for research into early-onset blindness in pediatric patients. -

A team of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) specialists from the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) was invited to conduct a workshop on the process of mobilizing ECMO patients at the 2024 Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Perioperative and Critical Care Conference held in Philadelphia recently. -
