    Kristina M. Hash, Ph.D., is the first to earn a graduate certificate in Health Professions Education (HPE) from the the College of Education and Human Services. The program, housed in the Department of Learning Sciences and Human Development, was developed in collaboration between West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Educational Psychology program in the College of Education and Human Services.

    As a labor and delivery nurse in the WVU Medicine Children’s Maternal Infant Care Center, Kristen Bennett, RN, had seen a handful of babies born with cleft lips and palates. At a routine ultrasound appointment during her second trimester, she and her husband learned that their son Lucas would be born with a cleft.

  • Sengupta named chief of Cardiology at WVU Heart and Vascular Institute

    Partho Sengupta, M.D., director of Cardiovascular Imaging and chair of the Center for Innovation at the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute, has been additionally promoted to chief of the Section of Cardiology in the Heart and Vascular Institute and in the WVU School of Medicine Department of Medicine.
