Supporters of West Virginia University made a record number of gifts and contributed more than $22 million during the University’s ninth Day of Giving Wednesday (March 25). WVU in the News: Pittsburghdeveloped AI tool now in use across WVU Medicine's 25-hospital network

WVU Medicine gave its 2,800 physicians and advanced practice professionals across its network the use of Abridge, a Pittsburgh-based AI software that records patient interactions and creates a detailed summary of the visit for the patient’s medical records. The recording is optional, and the records are purged regularly to protect patient privacy, according to the chief medical information officer with WVU Medicine Dr. David Rich. -
